Questions & answers

What to know
before the first wave.

Clear answers for facility managers and project teams considering commercial touchless access.

What is a wave-to-open door system?

It combines a touchless activation device with a suitable automatic operator and coordinated door hardware. The sensor requests opening; the operator moves the door. Locking and safety functions depend on the assessed application.

Can my existing automatic door be made touchless?

Often an existing system can be assessed for a touchless retrofit. Compatibility, condition, power, wiring and locking determine whether a sensor upgrade is enough or other work is needed.

How much does installation cost?

Pricing depends on the door, existing equipment, electrical work, controls, locking and site conditions. Request a project quote; a sensor-only price does not describe the cost of a complete installation.

Do you handle accessible washroom projects?

Enquiries can cover universal and barrier-free washroom door systems, including activation, privacy locking, occupancy indication and assistance interfaces. Room accessibility and the required operating sequence need project-specific review.

Is service available in my city?

Use the market enquiry directory or enter another municipality on the quote form. Availability is confirmed for the site address, equipment and scope. A city listing is not a local-office or coverage claim.

Is touchless activation a safety sensor?

Activation requests door movement. Safety sensing has a different role and must be assessed separately. A touchless wall switch does not replace required door safety devices.

Will an assistance button call 911?

Do not assume it will. Assistance devices need a specified signalling destination and a facility response procedure. Any monitoring or emergency-service connection must be expressly designed and confirmed.

What information helps with a quote?

Company and contact details, municipality or postal code, the number and type of doors, existing equipment, application and timeline. Include functional needs, but leave out access codes, personal medical information and confidential security details.

Building requirements depend on the jurisdiction and project. Product documentation and professional assessment are needed to establish the appropriate installation.
