Start with shared routes
List lobby, vestibule, amenity and washroom doors used by tenants and visitors. Identify manual doors that are difficult to use and existing automatic doors with unreliable controls. Tenant areas and common areas may have different approval responsibilities.
Keep access rules clear
A public lobby can operate differently after hours. Coordinate touchless activation with readers, intercoms and existing security providers so the intended convenience does not change authorization rules. Include deliveries and visitors in the discussion.
Plan the building work
Confirm management or board approvals, resident and tenant notices, permitted work hours and finish expectations. For several properties, build a common inventory and obtain site-specific scope and availability before scheduling.
