Privacy needs more than a switch.
A wave-to-lock device requests a change in privacy state through the specified controller and locking hardware. Its behaviour depends on the selected system, door position information and configuration. The user should be able to understand whether the room is available or occupied without relying on a generic assumed sequence.

Scoping wave-to-lock systems
The proposal should identify the controller, activation devices, lock interface and indicators, and explain the intended behaviour in ordinary use and exceptional conditions. Review safe egress and any emergency access arrangement with the appropriate professionals before installation.

Describe the present privacy problem: confusing indicators, accidental activation, failed locking or a fully manual arrangement. Include the controller and lock model numbers if known. Do not share access codes or security credentials.
Can a wave-to-lock switch be added to any washroom?
Not automatically. The controller, lock, door-position feedback and exit arrangement must support the intended function.
