Identify which project you are pricing
| Starting point | Items to include in the estimate |
|---|---|
| Working automatic door with a push plate | Sensor, power compatibility, mounting adaptation, wiring and control setup. |
| Manual commercial swing door | Operator, frame or header work, electrical supply, activation devices and assessment of the surrounding hardware. |
| Washroom needing coordinated privacy | Opening equipment plus the selected privacy controller, lock interfaces, indication and any assistance scope. |
Separate equipment from work on the building
An equipment price does not describe the installed result. Ask how electrical work, cable routes, frame reinforcement and repairs to finished surfaces are treated. An occupied site can also need agreed work hours or coordination with other contractors.
For several doors, label the openings separately. A shared equipment preference does not make a glazed exterior entrance and an interior washroom the same installation.
Compare the same scope on each quote
- Identify the operator and activation devices included for each opening.
- Show retained components and the assumptions behind their reuse.
- Allocate electrical, security and finish work to named parties.
- Specify functional checks, documentation and handover.
- State taxes, exclusions and any conditions affecting the price.
If two proposals differ significantly, compare those items before comparing the total. One may include work that the other expects the building owner to arrange.
Get pricing for your actual opening
Send the building location, number of openings and a description of the required change. Include views of the door, current controls and operator label where available. WaveToOpen quotes follow the assessed project; the pages here do not establish a fixed installed price.
For a sensor-only enquiry, the push-button retrofit checklist helps capture the compatibility questions before equipment is selected.
